Laurie and I are committed to our business so we put in full-time hours, even though I still have a full-time career. But the Stay-at-Home Mom can work her Avon Business while the kids are at school, or in the evening, or just on weekends. It’s really all up to you.

With such a low investment to start, some people don’t take the business seriously. They figure it’s only $30 or $5, so they really have lost nothing. It’s important to remember that even though it didn’t cost a lot of money to get started, it comes with a fantastic opportunity.
Flexibility and Independence
There’s a flip side to the flexibility and independence of your own Avon Business. Remember, you get out of it what you put in to it. Sometimes, it’s easy to say “I don’t feel like putting out my books today so I’ll do it tomorrow”. You are not an Avon Employee so nobody is telling you what to do or when to do it. You MUST rely on yourself to consistently perform the tasks that result in sales and income. For some, it’s easier to just find a job where you push a button all day and get paid for it. That’s OK, but how far will you go with a job like that?
Team Leader Support
There are all kinds of “leaders” out there. Good and Bad. You may get connected to one that pushes you harder than you want to be pushed. Or one that welcomes you with open arms, then disappears leaving you to figure things our on your own. (We won’t drag you!)

Avon IS NOT a get rich quick scheme. Some people come into this business thinking they are going to earn a lot of money right away. I’m not saying you can’t, but you have to understand, it’s up to you! No one is going to go find customers for you or follow-up with those customers. You have to do it. Everyone has a different experience when it comes to sales. Some people feel uncomfortable asking others if they want to buy something. Let’s face it, Avon is a DIRECT SALES company. You will be selling products. So you will have to find a way to overcome your uneasiness with this process.
